The client

CCL Label is a global leader in the packaging and label industry. The company has 150 production facilities throughout 35 countries. The Ashford site specialises in labels for agricultural chemicals and healthcare.

The challenge

The fire alarm system at the Ashford branch was aging and in need of an upgrade as it no longer complied with the BS5839 regulation. It was also not comprehensive enough for the site. The work needed to be carried out whilst the site under went refurbishment, so our engineers would need to work around other contractors, whilst making sure the alarm system was fully functioning at all times.

The solution

Working alongside other contractors presented its challenges but the project was delivered on time and to the agreed schedule. CCL’s Facilities Manager, Roland Worsley, was really impressed with the standard of work carried out and said, “Red Alert's service has been superb, they took the time to understand our company needs and have delivered excellent results.  The staff always understand our requests and go the extra mile for us which makes my job easier. Since completing the fire alarm upgrade Red Alert have been awarded the access control and intruder alarm service and maintenance contracts.
