Installation of a wireless fire alarm system to protect Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership services
Kent County Council’s mid-Kent office is based in Kroner House, Ashford. A multi-story office block, it houses many of the local areas most important service departments including the Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership.
A recent inspection of the building identified that the fire alarm required upgrading. Given the vital nature of the services within, it was imperative that the installation of a new system must not cause any disruption to day-to-day business activity.
Red Alert was selected following a formal tender process by Kent County Council. The company proposed a state-of-the-art wireless fire detection system from EMS, that works in the same way as any other alarm system except it uses radio based wireless technology to communicate between devices rather than cables.
The installation at Kroner House was extremely fast with minimal disruption to council staff who were able to carry on their business as normal.
The end result is a fully upgraded fire alarm system that satisfies all the required regulatory standards with no negative impact on the delivery of council services.
